About the Speaker

Mr.K.R.Anandakumaran Nair is the Executive Director (Development) in Lucas TVS. He has 43 years of experience in Engineering Research and Development. His experience covers the development of Mechanical systems, Electrical / Electronic systems and Mechatronics. A wide range of new products have been developed by him and he holds more than 20 patents.

He is a graduate from Kerala University and after completing his M.Tech degree from IIT Bombay spent a short time in Research at Kerala University.

He has spent the last 43 years in managing technology development and product development.

He has traveled extensively visiting factories in Europe, USA, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore recently in China to learn about product development and innovation.

He is keenly interested in Computer Aided Engineering and Product Life Cycle Management.

He is the current president of PDMA India, an organization dedicated to promoting best practices in New Product Development.
